Native to: Papua New Guinea Adult Size: up to 12 feet(longest lizard in the world) Appearance: Long head and neck,long and sturdy tail, and they are a dark brown/black color Ease of care: cage temperature should be in the 80's. Humidity should be around 75%. They need a high cage that can hold many climbing branches. Habitat: Consists of lowland forests near water, such as swamps and river regions. Danger: The Crocodile Monitor can cause great harm to the owner if not handeled right. Not recommended for beginners. Breeding: The Females 3 sets of eggs a year which totals about 17 eggs. The eggs hatch in about 2.75-4.25 months. |
