Substrate of potting soil and playground sand mix, leaves, orchard bark. Needs branches for climbing and leaves for shelter. Drink: Cuban knight anoles should mist twice daily. Sleeping Habits: They are active during the day and sleep at night. Temperament: They are much better off in the wild. They do not like to be touched and have 2 defenses. The first, they bite but they have small teeth so it doesnt hurt. The second is they will poop in your hand(this is not a big problem just be sure to wash you hands after holding them) Breeding: They breed from late March through early October. Females lay single eggs every 2 weeks. The eggs hatch every 5 to 7 weeks. The eggs look like Leathery versions of chicken eggs. |
