Veiled chameleons are native to mountain regions of Yemen and Saudi Arabia. |
| Adult Size: |
Veiled chameleons grow to 14-18 inches, with 24 inches possible. |
| Appearance: |
The veiled chameleon male has green base color, and depending on mood will range from bright lime green to dark olive. The veiled chameleon green base is marked with stripes and spots of yellow, brown and blue. Non breeding females and juveniles are generally a uniform green color with some white markings. Breeding and gravid females are a very dark green with blue and yellow spots. |

Veiled chameleons main dietis insects, it will occasionally consume the leaves and blossoms of various plants. |

Like all chameleons, veiled chameleons are tree dwellers, so they need branches to climb. |

Veiled chameleons prefer to drink water that is in drops. Veiled chameleons do not always recognize standing water and may dehydrate if that is their only source. |

Veiled chameleon females can produce up to 3 clutches of eggs a year. Each clutch may contain 20-70 eggs. The eggs usually take 6-9 months to hatch. |
